I’m Joel Young — a graphic designer and illustrator based on the Sunshine Coast. Twenty years of commercial work across brand and identity, print and editorial, digital, and illustration. I cover the full range at a senior level, and I work well without supervision.

Most of my work comes through agencies and studios. I know how they operate, I take a brief and run with it, and I deliver on deadline. Most clients come back. Make of that what you will.

I’m currently open to remote contract work — project-based or retainer — and full-time or part-time remote roles, working with studios and brands across Australia and internationally.

When I’m not on a brief I’m usually drawing or playing with my kids. Illustration has always been part of the work, not a side hobby. I’m honest, easy to work with, and reasonably good company on a Zoom call.
